I wake up. I check my NHL app and see the Edmonton Oilers won a hockey game last night 2 to 1 against @siggy47 terrible Islanders and I see oh Leon Draisaitl scored twice. So I check out the goal videos.

First one is a slap shot that beats the goalie clean. Not any goalie but Ilya Sorokin who’s known to be pretty good. I thought to myself man this guy is good.

Then the 2nd goal is a breakaway overtime winner. Leon comes in so effortlessly and just roofs it over IIya and the Oilers win.

So I thought to myself. Where was this guy drafted!! Why didn’t Buffallo draft him? Did we even have a chance to get him?

So I search and find this

OF COURSE not only could we have drafted him we completely skipped over him for Sam. Sam is good but he’s not even on the same planet that Leon is on.

And the misery continues!

You didn't need to throw in that Isles dig. Draisaitl single handedly pissed everyone off on Long Island last night. I'm still trying to accept that Brock Nelson is gone. I'm waiting for next season already.

I'll never forget Norwood's miss. I was in a NYC bar and was the only non Giants fan. I always kind of liked the Bills even though they share a division with the Jets.
