Google says: "Donald Trump, serving as the 45th president of the United States, was impeached for the second time on January 13, 2021, one week before his term expired."
Yea, my memory was correct. He was impeached twice.
For the second one, he was up for a complete ban from office. That didn't quite get passed, but almost did. Even most GOP members were pissed that day and voted to impeach.
The first impeachment was for using government funds, while he was president, to bribe foreign officials into lying for him to make his political opponent look bad. The plan didn't work, he got caught, and his opponent won the election.
one week before his term expired that's why I didn't notice. doesn't really count if it allowed to run again. stupid loophole.

Well, the first impeachment was about a year before that, I think. Impeached twice about a year apart 😂. Crazy shit.

Failed impeachments don't count

Huh? Neither failed. He was impeached twice.
What do you think impeachment is?
reply
He was acquitted both times. True impeachment is to remove a president from the office before the end of the term.
