Anyone else seen this? It's entertaining, if not brilliant, but stars Anya Taylor-Joy (Queen's Gambit, The Menu, The Witch) and Miles Teller (Top Gun), and they make it worthwhile (I'll watch Taylor-Joy in anything, frankly). It's basically a monster/action/conspiracy movie with a bit of cute romance thrown in -- each of them is a solider placed to spend a year watching a gorge and keep creatures from getting out. Good way to kill a couple of hours. Plus, it includes the Twisted Sister cover of "Oh Come All Ye Faithful."

I'm going to check it out. I really liked The Queen's Gambit. Did you see the first episode of White Lotus, season 3? Set in Thailand.
reply
Yup! Fantastic cast, as always, and just such fun and cheesy plots.

I was surprised by how good it is. The premise was awesome. So well balanced/escalated too.
Taylor-Joy’s Lithuanian accent couldn’t have been worse, and I’m a little tired of her, but I do find her fun to watch.
reply
Yeah, the pacing really helped it a lot.
I have the advantage of being absolutely awful at accents, so had no idea her accent was off.

I saw the preview for it when my wife and I were watching season 2 of Silo. I haven’t watched it yet but I will check it out.

The trailer gives a bit too much of the plot away, but it's still worthwhile.

Silo is great imho, can't wait for the next season....

Watched. Was good, a lot of action and quite good plot.

I'm definitely going to check it out.

I was actually disappointed, they made some stupid love story out of a good potential flick... It was OK...
