If @Undisciplined had his way the NBA all star game would be include a 1 on 1 tournament.
Although, they played in different eras. I would pay to see Muggsy and Wemby play 1 on 1.

They basically didn’t try to make any of the shots and instead just threw the ball up. It was faster than trying to make the shots.

Everyone would. That's why I say this would be the premier event in all of sports.
NBA players are just too delicate of snowflakes to subject their egos to a one-on-one challenge.

I saw a funny post on twitter when I was scrolling for interesting sports posts. Someone posted about the fights in the hockey game yesterday saying "NBA players: yeah I am not going to play on a back to back. Meanwhile, NHL players: Sure, I will fight and die for this exhibition game."

I just saw someone post the fight vids on nostr. They might not have been landing clean, but they were taking some big swings and went down to the ice pretty hard.
