Anddddddd he’s gone!!! After all the take about 6 year deals it seems Bregman realized that after Alonzo’s deal he had to take a short turn. I did not see anyone giving him 3 years at $120mil WITH opt outs after each season but Boston did.
Houston might miss him but he was by no means worth that. Especially since he forced our hand and had us acquire a new third baseman, a third baseman for the future, and a first baseman. The stros will miss him but it’s next man up.

Boy, he really didn't want to play in Detroit if the term and numbers I saw there were true.

I honestly think he thought the minimum he would get was $30 mil a year from someone and he was not going to go a penny under $30 mil a year. Now I love Bregman as a leader and how hard plays but hes been declining. The first half of last year he was really really bad and even with his end of season run his walk rate plummeted and never recovered.

Well that saga is finally over.

It’s funny because with Houston and no state income tax the difference between 26 and 30 mil gets a lottttt smaller! Plus Boston still needs more for their devision. They are getting close but they are not there yet
