I started working on Satlantis in 2022 with the goal of creating the most fun way of getting people on the Bitcoin standard. We ended up creating a top global Minecraft server in record time. Thousands of players, over a whole bitcoin in rewards. It was epic.

Tribulations

Just as we were starting to go viral, Microsoft deplatformed us. Overnight, the game I had spent over a year building was destroyed. It was brutal. We were on the verge of something special. But as I told y’all on that fateful day: SATLANTIS WILL LIVE ON. I made a commitment to you. Thru the sleepless nights. Sweating about what to do next. Driving uber to keep shit funded. I refuse to quit.

Tribute

Profit to the players. A tribute to the players. Earning and sharing in the upside of the game you love and help grow.

This idea kept me going. As a lifelong gamer myself, the Satlantis concept was something I wish existed. A bitcoin based virtual economy is fucking sick and I had no idea why no else had built it yet. So I did, twice.

Tribe

We have the opportunity to create the greatest online gaming community. Sharing 50% of all our revenue is a frankly absurd idea. Can you imagine if CoD, GTA or Minecraft did the same thing. They would never.

Which gives us a massive opportunity.

While their communities have been dogshit for years, we can cultivate a higher standard. Their communities are filled with cheaters and scoundrels. With no real consequence for their actions. Our virtual proof of work system will put an end to that. In the same way Bitcoin made money fair, Tribyu will make gaming fair.

The golden age of gaming starts now.

Awesome! I've been looking forward to this and often remember the old Satlantis days fondly, imagining what it would be like with bitcoin at $100k. Thank you for all your efforts to bring it back.

@Tribyu and/or @ek , it looks like there is an account registration (email, username)

Before I over think it to much:

What can be changed after registration? Can one switch username on an existing account?

Trying to figure out if I need to setup a burner email address

After registering you can start playing on our game platform which includes CS2 and Luanti(like an open source Minecraft).

We currently don’t have an automated way to change usernames/email/etc.

This was honestly more of a soft launch that @ek was so kind to promote(ruin).

@Tribyu told me that their site is not really ready for the public.

I just registered and verified my email but I think there isn't anything you can do yet (not even login somewhere).

For now, just joining the Discord is the best option afaict! You don't need to register on the site.

You can play on Mac or Linux! While our client is currently optimized for Windows, the open source game engine we use supports Mac/Linux/Android. FOSS for the win!

You can download those clients at https://github.com/luanti-org/luanti/releases/tag/5.9.0

And join the game with: Server IP: play.tribyu.com Port: 40000

You need to download the client from Github afaik. Tribyu has no connection to Minecraft anymore.

Luanti is like FOSS Minecraft but it's completely separated from Minecraft.

After Microsoft deplatformed us we’ve spent the past year rebuilding everything from the ground up on a new open source game engine.

We’re are now free to let the sats flow!

Weird to say when they just relaunched

Maybe you joined after they were shut down by Microsoft? It was buzzing the day before MS enforced their policy, and then they had to migrate exclusively to Discord for a while.

I made a lot of fond memories on their server and there was always a lot of activity (including their Discord server after the shutdown), so I'm really surprised that your experience was different 🤔
