I have a TON of food related vices, and a major one is that I eat absolute garbage. One of my goto places to eat garbage is Kwik Trip. If you're not familiar, it's a gas station/convenience store with food that's probably a bit better than your average fast food, which isn't saying much.
The thing is, these "restaurants" are accessible with a semi truck, and with limited options to eat at work (when I don't bring a luch) it usually ends up being my option of choice.
Even though I bring a lunch daily, sometimes I will stop to get some garbage instead. So, about an hour ago when I drove past one I considered stopping to get some junk.
I decided against it, not because I'm currently losing weight (again) but because my first thought was literally "I'm buying bitcoin tomorrow, and that's a complete waste"
That's when it occurred to me that i haven't eaten at a kwik trip since I started stacking sats! Apparently that's yet another wasteful thing that I've cut out that has a direct negative impact on my life, because buying bitcoin is just better.
I thought it was a pretty fun insight so I decided to share. 😁
Stacking sats does make you reassess your spending habits.
I am proud to say I have only eaten ice cream once since I posted about cheat day and it was just two ice cream sandwiches. Progress.

Everything has sats opp cost

Indeed. I think it is funny when fiat folks argue that if we were on a bitcoin standard no one would buy anything and the economy would grind to a halt. No, people will still buy things, they will just demand quality products and services instead of junk.

Stacking has definitely crowded out a lot of my wasteful spending.

I worry not much about food. Omelettes, sardines, avocados, steaks, baked plantains or sweet potatoes etc. this is my fast food, literally. Occasionally slow cooked veggies with meat...

thanks for sharing.
once we fall down the rabbit hole, it's hard to see cats the same way again. i just try to project that thought 💭 onto my finances. (every time something comes up, i think better of it and buy more SATS) we can't stop accumulating while it's still possible to do so
