I'm not an expert on dogs, much less on cold places. Is it normal to dress dogs like this? I think it's a bit exaggerated unless it's an extremely cold place, I suppose?

It's terrible. Even the dogs are embarrassed. This is for owners with too much money and time playing dress up.

Here in metropolitan Lima they shelter dogs in winter, but the most illogical thing is that the coldest temperature is 16/18°C

My wife has boots, a coat, and a hat for our dog. I never put them on her.

I have to admit that when my daughter was young I used to make my big, tough looking American Bulldog wear reindeer antlers on Christmas.

How did the bulldog feel about it?

She was a good sport, and tolerated it for a few minutes.

I walked with my daughter and her dance class in the Santa Claus parade and we had light up Christmas headbands and bracelets for her. Tried to put one on my dog and she was having none of it.

hat? how funny. Have you said anything to him about it?
reply
The hat is new.

It's absolutely not normal and if it's some extremely cold place, it's again a stupidity to pet the dogs who aren't meant to be for such a cold regions.
I'd never do it because 1 dogs don't like to wear 2 my dogs won't let me do that stupidity.

Thank you, I had that big doubt, I had never understood why people put shoes on their dogs, for some reason they want to humanize them

Not that heavy, but a coat is quite normal in Italy for small/thin dogs on colder days. In the video you see two "levriero", I can assure you they like a little extra heat.
reply
I think that people that dress their dogs are a lil extra
