Why doesn't Blockstream allow atomic swaps on Green like Aqua wallet does?

Problem statement

I'm trying to do an atomic swap between LBTC or LUSDT(or vice versa) by using the Jade HWW to sign transactions on Blockstream Green, and I am unable to do that.

Possible solution figured out

The only way I can do an atomic swap is to go to the Sideswap and connect that to Jade by Bluetooth or USB and then do the swap, which makes me feel uncomfortable because there is an attack surface that could be exploited inside Sideswap. It is that there are more attack surfaces which is not which I'm not comfortable with. I dislike even connected Jade via BLE.

Ask for Blockstream Green team

I'd love for Blockstream Green to give the feature of Aqua wallet where you can do atomic swaps between the assets in the app. The one downside of Aqua Wallet is that it's a hot wallet. I'd rather the swap be done through a cold wallet.

Ask for SN folks

Let me know if anyone has found a way to do atomic swaps within Green wallet or any other wallet that uses Jade wallet to sign transactions from cold storage

Yes, I have tried it, and it works for the most part. There was an issue #848633 that I had also brought up to a service provider using Boltz exchange. I request a way to do atomic swaps from within the app like Aqua Wallet does(which I believe uses Sideswap or Boltz in the backend). This is a feature that is missing in Green Wallet, AFAIK. But yes, if I cannot do it within Green Wallet, I will need to use Boltz Exchange or SIdeSwap outside of the Green Wallet.

You could even make some small (few sats per swap) profits using Boltz Pro when their rates are negative, to help them with liquidity while at it.

SHITCOINING The only swap you should use is between onchain and LN,. to refill your depleted LN channels. All the rest is SHITCOINING.

How does one purchase BTC? Saylor even converted his USD to stablecoin before buying Bitcoin. So, one can say stablecoins have some utility as they provide a bridge to Bitcoin. Why did Aqua go so hard on BTC and stablecoins? I believe that while we transition to a hyper-bitcoinzed world, there will be a transition period where stablecoins will play a role. Step into any Latin American country and see how much demand stable coins have. They believe their currencies are losing so much purchasing power that they almost treat stable coins as SoV. Some people enjoy the privilege of being born in a country with a reserve currency status. In contrast, others who are less fortunate will flock to that country as there is a massive currency arbitrage opportunity. We can sit in front of our systems and look down upon them or try to step into their shoes. For me, there is Bitcoin and stablecoins(which provide a bridge to Bitcoin) and everything else is a shitcoin.

  1. Saylor didn't bought any BTC, he bought only IOU garbage.
  2. to buy BTC you just dump fiat and get BTC. You do not have to pass through any crap stablecoin. Simple as that. Or just work for BTC and skip the whole shitcoining with fiat.
