Hear me out here though... If you add some BBQ sauce to that, you get a really sticky and sweet element that with the chili itself biting at you is absolutely fantastic. But I do understand that to some people that would be heresy.

It's not easy for me to define Alt-J to a genre either, but they sound great!

By the way, I was reminded of this song when I heard them on the soundtrack to The Day of the Jackal. It's very unusual to see Eddie Redmayne as a villain. Although his eyes are pretty fucked up.
