Which would you recommend that are stable, you can use in your browser with no software installed to install an application on your desktop or on a vps to use for video calls with screen sharing with 1 or more persons?

Jitsi meet
You can use the free instance or self host it. It lets you generate invitation links and lets you discriminate between admin partecipants and simple partecipants.

Thanks, it looks like they've dropped support for Firefox unfortunately. I'll try it again with another browser like Brave.

I've tried out used Jitsi as a Service (JaaS) at https://jaas.8x8.vc. It works fantastic. You can embed a Jitsi meeting app in your website, web app, mobile app with ease. Just copy/paste some HTML. You can use 25 calls per months for free.

I used this one. Has a lot of features. I tried it with screen sharing, but the browser crashed. I guess it was too heavy or perhaps it was my computer. If this could be more stable, then I would like this option. I wonder if I host it myself how it would differ in the connection vs using their connection, which is public.
