This could be one of the last days of my old boy cat...
He just sit peacefully in front of the fireplace, eating less and less. Is really sad seeing him consuming itself every day. Never saw him so sad and hopeless... And I can do shit about this. I can't stop his slow death.... Please do not zap this post. I am just trying to spill out my hopelessness in regards of his death coming. When the death is suddenly is more or less acceptable, but when you see it coming, is really painful.
It’s okay to feel helpless just being there with him, offering comfort and love, means more than you know. He feels your presence and care, and that brings him peace. Sending you strength and warmth during this difficult time.

I am really angry right now... feels like Anakin when Palpatine told him that can control life with a strong "power" that still cannot know it,...
I really want to save my cats life. I wish I can know that power...

Have you tried medicines? There are several that may be helpful, depending upon what the problem is. I can think of fenbendazole, ivermectin and chlorine dioxide that may help. It depends upon the cause of the problem. If he has reached his old age, there is nothing to do.
reply
Is hypertiroidismo ... old cats disease... you can't do too much about this. Just drink all my days... I will die with my cat.
reply
I don’t think he would want that, do you? He has lived the good cat life and it is coming to a close. This will happen to all of us. Perhaps another cat will find you or you find another cat and the good times will be back. But that is not at this moment.
reply
My life is not the same after he die. He's more than all my family.

Before we had a few cats I didn't understand them. They are not what most people think. They are highly intelligent and choose who they want to show affection. They can be very loving and loyal.
I've realized that they more like people than dogs. This is why so many people do not understand them. I love dogs but dogs are not like humans.

Did he say goodbye? He will surely say goodbye before death. They turn their backs to you, but they turn their heads back and look at you. It's a loving look. And they go to find a quiet place where they will die.
reply
Yes,, he's looking at me as it will be last look. You are right... they know their final countdown. But I do not want to be that "countdown". It will be my final countdown too...

I understand. Maybe this will put you at ease: "According to the Muslim faith, every person who dies will come back to life in the flesh and bones in the future." It might probably be the same for our animal friends.
P. S. : According to the Muslim faith, all religions are the same. There is only one God and one religion. Christian, Jew, Muslim, Buddhist are inseparable from each other.

According to the Muslim faith,
give me a break with that crap

Ok, sorry. Everyone has faith in themselves.
reply
I have faith in my cats. And that have nothing to do with any bullshit religion. Faith is NOT religion. Religion = brainwashing gullible slaves. So please do not come to me with crap "muslim" religion, or ANY religion. Are all the same CRAP.

Been there a twice with our cats and one dog. Its hard to watch them slowly fade away.
We had a male named Orca that went missing for about a week and then drug his broken leg back to our house. We spent to much money fixing him up but he was special. Lived several more years after that but its tough to lose a good friend.
reply
omg twice? That's what I am more concerned.. wasting money on "fixing him" than giving more comfort to have a smooth "transition".... I am in a real balance right now. Fucking balance.

One of our dear cats was really bad and we nursed her back to health. Vet told us we should put her down but we didn't. We had her several more years before she went to far and we ended up putting her down. It wasn't easy. She was the sweetest cat I've ever seen.

Please... this is making me cry hard...

Losing a pet is brutal. I wish you the best. I know you helped him have a great life. Takingcare of yourself is important when going through this.

idk what to do anymore. I don't want to drink all day to forget this, but is really painful to see how is literally melting down. I try to keep my mind busy with bitcoin but is hard...

Be there, present for your cat. Bitcoin can wait. Do not postpone the mourning.

I'm really sorry man. Pets are family and losing a family member is really hard. I don't have much to say other than I feel for you both.
reply
sincerely... for me this cat is more than just family... he's my heart.
reply
I got one of my cats, the first, just after I came out of the hospital from a heart attack. He really helped keep me alive and I would do anything to be able to return the favor. He is more than just a friend or a pet.
reply
I understand completely. It isn't fair.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I read that you've been with your cat for a long time. The best thing you can do now is to stay by his side, keep him comfortable, and cherish all the memories you shared together. May you find strength during this difficult time. 🙏

Perhaps another cat will find you! This is how most of my cats came to my house, they found either my son or me.

I have 4 cats man! But this one is the only "boy" in the house... is my shadow,. If he die.. I will die.

This is what happened to me when I lost my first cat. I was not bearable for a long time. I didn’t get another for a long time.

I am already on a journey to isolate myself from any other "civilization". Fuck this fucked up world.... But the death of my lovely cat, is the point of no return.
