I’m not sure if this has been requested before, but is there a specific reason this feature isn’t available?
@siggy47 has probably been the main proponent of permanently editable posts.
It comes up for discussion every so often. A lot of cool features took a backseat to all the wallet stuff.

Thanks. I’m looking forward to some cool features! What cool feature do you think should be added?

Off the top of my head:
  • shared territory ownership
  • sub-territories
  • custom reply fees
  • series post type
  • cross-posting
  • territory specific rewards systems
reply
I'm a big fan of all of these, though my #1 and #2 would be series posts and crossposting
reply
Wow, I like the idea of sub-territories and shared territory ownership. But what do you mean by custom reply fees? Is it the reply we make to someone's post or comment? It's 1 sat or CC; do you want to pay more for it, or is it something else?
Hoping @k00b and @ek notice your comment! 🤞

Off the top of my head:
  • paying for mentioning people
😅 Anyway, most of these are planned, "custom reply fees" has already been implemented in a PR but hasn't been merged yet.
reply
I should've spelled to "Pay-to-post" lol
Off the top of my head:
Paying to access Stacker News after hitting a limit of 10 times a day.
Hold on @k00b, some people aren't made of money here 😂.
I forgot about paying to mention people (not surprised you didn't, though, @k00b). Yes, that's another cool idea.
Yeah, the idea is that either the territory or the OP can set the price of replying to posts/comments.
I do think it should be higher, but that's not the point. The point is that it should be something we can alter. When I found Stacker News, posts were only 1 sat and changing it was a big deal, but it's been a massively positive change.

Understood! Thank you.

I personally think that a territory owner being able to change the comment fee is already a game changer as-is. I fear that if OPs too were able to do that, it could become abusive really quick

I think I've seen it suggested that this feature come with a fee to prevent abuse. Personally, I just make sure I'm ready to keep my posts permanent.
reply
Yeah I agree, this should be done to prevent abuse of the feature. It should come with a paid structure, so we pay to edit.
reply
You have 10 minutes, do you think it should be longer?
reply
I know that, but just take an instance where I posted something and later want to add more to it.
reply
Just add a comment at that point.
