In a meaningless Week 18 game the bills lose.
Here are my quick takeaways:
  1. New England shot itself in the foot with this win. Because of this win, they don't get the #1 overall pick. The 3rd string QB Milton showed out. Such a pitty for NE.
  2. James Cook got a rushing touchdown which is his 16th of the year tying the Bills franchise record set by OJ Simpson. Cook also eclipsed 1,000 rushing yards on the season. Personally, I think records like this are devalued. I think Juice did it in 10 or 12 games while it took 18 for Cook but regardless of my thoughts congrats to James Cook.
  3. Allen continued his iron man streak of 115 consecutive starts. Also, Josh has 5 seasons of 40+ total touchdowns. I remember being jealous of the Colts when they had Andrew Luck and he would put up 40 TDs in a season and I would think they are so lucky and now this is my reality and I am loving it.
Well that wraps up the 2024-25 regular season.
The Bills finish 13-4 in which was forecasted to be a transition year for the team after losing star WR Stefon Diggs and other important veterans.
Personally I had them going 9-8 this season. Which makes me think all things considered Josh should win the MVP! No disrespect to Lamar Jackson but Josh did it all and deserves to be recognized for it.
Bills will open the playoffs either against Denver or Cincy. If Denver wins they are in and they will come to Highmark.

LETS GO BUFFALO Thanks for the fantastic season

OJ played 14 games. 2000 yard rusher in 14 games.
Regular season expanded to 16 games in 1978 (I think).
James Cook played in 17 games. Season is 18 weeks with a bye.
They should beat Denver.
Jerod Mayo is the first coaching casualty

Lamar’s stats may be better, but Josh led his team to more wins, and for me, that should earn him the MVP.

Let’s go Buffalo!
Pats fired Mayo after the game. Guess Kraft wasn’t happy with the win. Haha

How do Bills fans feel about those OJ records? Is it a relief when someone breaks them?
reply
A lot of fans still like OJ. Also others are indifferent. But I don’t know any fans who are happy his records are falling.
Since the franchise doesn’t have a championship we celebrate that OJ was one of the best RBs ever

easier to ignore him now that he is dead
OJ was a big deal at USC also, Heisman Trophy 1968
2000 yards in 14 games was quite an accomplishment in 1973

I'm happy you guys get to have Allen as a new franchise player.
