Can psychedelics and meditation co-exist as tools for exploring consciousness, or do they lead to fundamentally different paths? Are entheogens a shortcut to Nirvana, or do they offer only a glimpse of what meditation achieves gradually? Is meditation too slow for modern seekers, or does its discipline provide a stability that psychedelics can’t match?
What are your thoughts?
experiences offered through an outside substance may offer a glimpse for those who seek a temporary new perspective
it is only a visitation with a new vibrational state
and intention is EVERYTHING when working with outside energies
integration of new vibrations within the human experience generally requires meditation of some sort
for me it has been a lot of sun gazing and fasting, I also enjoy breathe work and yoga from time to time. the psychedelics are only tools. they may help guide or hold us in our current state, again, INTENTION is the most important thing to consider.
after a big experience, be it a "hallucination" or anything else traumatic, integration is required in order to transmute the energy of the experience into one of learning/expansion
stillness of some sort is great for integration of any experiences
we have integrated when we get to exist in a new "base vibration". instead of visiting.
meditation can easily accomplish the same goals all on its own,
just different paths for different souls

On the other hand it can be like a peyote ceremony in Dine/Navajo culture. Those tend to be with a group, singing and praying and it's usually all night in the teepee. Sweating might be part of keeping it safe. Or Safer. Kinda like a sweat lodge.

Meditation alone is safer. Don't want to be the weird uncle that died tripping balls.

death is an illusion
these tools may help us learn this lesson
if we ask the right questions
scary questions to ask though

Don't be like Terrance Mckenna who at the end of his life thought that his cannabis use was the source of his illnesses / problems.
