Type 'Bitcoin' into youtube. These are many of the top search results today:
Next type 'Bitcoin' into google and press enter. This is mostly what comes up:
Or this
In other words, all noise, scams, BS, marketing, trader-bullshit 'Crypto' get-rich-quick schemes...
And we wonder why people think Bitcoin has "zero value" and is "worthless" or a "giant ponzi"
And this is if you type in 'Bitcoin' into google or Youtube. How bad is it if you search for 'Crypto'?
This is why I can't mention Bitcoin to my coworkers. Why I can't even bring it up with any friends or few family... because when they think "Bitcoin" all they see is Scammy-Crypto 'open-face-disease' on the internet. Or twitter crypto-bot scams (all over twitter/shitter)
And we wonder why few if hardly any businesses accept Bitcoin? How do we move past this and fix it?
I searched 'Bitcoin' a few days ago and one of the top results?:
I mean WTF?
More:
Very few of these people (I don't mean Jack Mallers) are actually interested in Bitcoin. All they care about is fucking dollar-signs and that's all they see. It looks like a giant scam.
It's fucking sick and this is right off of Youtube. How do we fix this?

Nothing can be done about that. Shitcoiners, statists and scammers will always exist. Stack sats and ignore them.
Have no heroes, and do not follow religiously any 'influencer', most if not all only care about $ NgU.

I'm not on Twitter. I don't follow any. I watch Matt Kratter's stuff (have for a while) and I mostly agree with his takes as I think they're constructive.
Other than that it's all stacker news. The pay-to-post model filters out the vast majority of the spam and noise.

just ignore them for now and enjoy the moment when your savings will be proven safe in the years to come

If we are 'right' about Bitcoin, being the #1 global capital settlement layer of the future...
Independent of any government...
Usable in defense of global freedom and Human rights...
Then we should try to educate as many people as possible. Meanwhile it's all 'open-face-disease' among idiots dragging everyone else down with them. Sure I stack sats but at this rate a small % of people will have most of the Bitcoin.
The 'rest' of people either thought it was a scam and so never researched it, or they bought shitcoins/unreigstered securities, got rekt, and then joined Buttcoin.
There will be consequences for this.

That's the nature of personal responsibility.

The amount of noise, scams, and unregistered-securities non-compliance in the "crypto" space is outrageous.
The only thing technically sound, ethically sound, and economically sound is Bitcoin. Bitcoiners will do OK... but the ****coiners?
Sure it's true that Bitcoin will be fine but that's like saying 'well all those people drove drunk, went to the casino, lost all their money, then crashed on the way home' and it was 'their fault' 'so they're responsible...'
Sure absolutely. But it's not good for markets either.

Since we don’t own YouTube or Google, they are in complete control over what content you see.
After all the Covid fraud, it became clear to me that the tech companies are heavily involved in censoring content that they don’t want to spread. Bitcoin content is no different.
Their censorship and algorithms are just a couple of the many reasons why these scammers thrive.

It's an outrageous cognitive dissonance. Proof-of-Airtoken crypto casinos are not the same as proof-of-work.
Shitcoins harm people, confuse them, and also confuse the narrative around Bitcoin what it is and why it's important. Eventually the market figures it out but it will be a messy process with actual Bitcoiners, holding their own keys, as the ones who can walk-away safely.
Shitcoinism is a virus and completely unhealthy.

Yup. Multinational corporations like Google thrive on fiat money and incentives. They don’t want to promote something that will ultimately take their power away.
They have an incentive to suppress bitcoin as much as possible.

I agree with this

Making a price prediction alongside a time prediction is impossible. Price but no time... ok. Time but no price... ok.
Both they are a scammer 100% What the fuck is wrong with people on the internet?
reply
No need. It will work itself out. Clowns are going to clown.

It's a strange situation imo
reply
Sure is. It is so weird seeing people that have been doing this for years and still don't get it. Like crypto kark and bitboy, not too bright I guess.
reply
Those people, the crypto 'youtubers' they know exactly what is going on.
They are paid cash to advertise for random coins and tokens, scams or not.
They 'get it' alright when they are paid to sell tokens to people.
The people buying the tokens though... yes they keep buying them for years looking for the casino. It has to end eventually

On the other hand:
  1. It means we're still early!
  2. It's an opportunity to educate people.
You are right that most people still see Bitcoin as gambling. But because of that, when I tell them the real truth about Bitcoin, they are amazed. Carry yourself with conviction and respect, and learn how to communicate about Bitcoin effectively, and you will gradually orange pill many people.
reply
We may be "early" still (maybe). However it's completely, totally unethical.
Whoever thought that being able to send and store value... independent of any centralized financial authority... would lead to so many scams? And so much pure nonsense?
The people running nodes, holding their own keys can't possibly be interested in this Bullshit. Type 'Bitcoin' into google and it should be educating, not pushing shitcoin/unregistered securities casinos onto unsophisticated/influencable people.
It's incredibly wrong and being the 'public face' for Bitcoin (which it is) creates all kinds of social conflicts.
