Blues was made from Reds!!

That's Muddy Waters live. Nobody can touch the master. I had the privilege to see him play twice.
To make blues: pour 2 cups of black coffee into a blender, stir in a little sugar and baked apples, and blend for about 5 minutes. Then pour over a bed of chopped celery. Allow to sit, then season to taste.

Same Old Blues - Freddie King

I guess I'll have to use the song that I was going to put in the music saloon! I'll find another one though!
The blues was made when John "Blues" King decided to write a song about how happy he was. However, since he wasn't that expressive, all his neighbors thought he was sad instead and that started the rumor that blues music is sad. They named the genre after him, and it helped influence many other genres in the future. (Yes, the character's last name is King because of the three Kings of blues: Albert, Freddie, and B.B.!)

This answer is correct or incorrect? It's quite hard to distinguish. 😅😅
The song .... A real Best of blues...
reply
It's supposed to be incorrect! I went with a wild origin story for the hip-hop thread with time travellers, and I decided to go a little more grounded this time. Apparently too grounded! 😅
Freddie King has some really great songs, and his guitar sound is one of my favorites in the genre along with the other two Kings! Then in songs without much guitar like this one the other instruments really shine.

Blues is made with crayons obviously.
reply
You know the bollywood version of blues is exactly opposite.
reply
In bollywood they use the blues to make crayons!? Interesting...

A crew of Martian banjo players crash-landed in North Dakota. They traded their cosmic banjos for microwaves and, in a show of gratitude, taught humans how to bend strings with the power of telekinesis. Earthlings mispronounced the Martian word for “cheese,” calling it “blues” by mistake. Thus, the style was born.
reply
Why North Dakota? Oh, that’s easy—North Dakota was the Martians’ top choice because it’s the only place on Earth where the tumbleweeds speak fluent Banjonese. Those intergalactic beings needed an environment with chilly air currents so that their strings would vibrate at the exact frequency of cosmic misunderstanding. Legend has it, the Martians initially tried to land in Mars, Pennsylvania, but the sign was too confusing—after all, they were from Mars, so they aimed for the “real” Mars on Earth, got lost, and wound up in North Dakota.
Totally not because North Dakota has any actual historical connection to blues (it doesn’t), but because it’s the premier hotspot for cosmic banjo festivals and whale-call karaoke at 3 a.m. under the Aurora Borealis—that’s how “Martian banjo blues” supposedly took root. And remember, none of these details are remotely true
 or are they?
