The Format had a song called, "The First Single" that was the bands first release, I am pretty sure. I remember hearing an early version of the song played on our local radio stations in Phoenix, AZ area. It was a hit locally and soon it spread and they eventually released a more polished version along with a whole album. My friends and I all enjoyed listening to the album and noticing references that were made to the east valley area, where we lived. The lead singer, Nate Ruess went on to more musical success with the group Fun. They were pretty popular for a while. I am pretty sure one of the members is also part of wavlake... @rheedi0 maybe? Can anyone confirm that? 🤷‍♂️
