pull down to refresh

Street photography is an art in itself. Sometimes it's hard to see the daily scenes with fresh eyes, but what's ordinary to me might be new to you. I think many of you would find it interesting to get a glimpse of everyday life in a country like Venezuela.
The truth is, life here isn't as bad as the foreign news makes it out to be. Yes, there are many shortages and difficult conditions, but at the same time, this country is full of people who fight every day to get by. They come up with countless ways to earn money to feed their families.
Like these people pushing carts full of vegetables around the city, searching for customers.
This other worker does the same thing, and in fact, when I took this photo, someone was buying fruit from him!
This next photo is of a man who sits in a corner waiting for customers to repair their shoes.
The following photo is of a woman who has been selling flowers at this corner in the heart of the city for many years.
This next photo is of some workers repairing the perimeter wall of the city cemetery. The photo has a powerful vibe with all the crosses in it.
People still stand in long lines for things, like this one to renew Venezuelan ID cards.
And there were many people around, doing all sorts of things to earn money, like working as moto-taxi drivers, selling coffee, breakfast, or making photocopies.
In another part of the city, I found something I wanted to show you. There's a spring with clean, drinkable water. Hundreds of people come here every day to collect water for their homes.
I took the next photo because of the meaning I saw in that moment. These people were at a pharmacy buying medicine, which means that one of them or a family member is sick, and yet they were still smiling at life...
I took the last photo outside a church!
I hope you enjoyed these photos as much as I did!
