I think it is hilarious that the government wants people to suddenly use encrypted messaging when I’m sure the 3 letter intelligence agencies have been vacuuming up people’s texts (with the cooperation of the telcos) for ages.
I’m also sure this is not the first time the Chinese have been in our infrastructure.

It works well for me. I have heard it's end to end encrypted and backed by a foundation. Im not super technical to know how good it is for privacy but it seems good.
