Endorse Your Candidate with Bitcoin Signature: Koinvote Launches Germany and China Voting Events
Koinvote, a Bitcoin voting platform, empowers users to express their political preferences globally. Using Bitcoin signature technology, users can endorse their preferred candidates or political parties securely and transparently.
We are excited to announce two new voting events:
2025 Bundestag Election (Party Vote): Express your support for major political parties like SPD, CDU, Grünen, and more. Politburo Standing Committee of the Chinese Communist Party: While China does not hold general elections, you can now symbolically cast your vote for members of the Politburo Standing Committee and express your support. Voting Rules: Each Bitcoin address can endorse only one candidate or party. If multiple signatures are submitted, only the latest one will be counted. Addresses with a zero balance cannot participate in voting. You can withdraw your endorsement by transferring to a new address or submitting a new signature. You can change your endorsement up to twice per day. The voting weight is synchronized with your address balance in real-time. Important Notes: No Bitcoin is spent during the process—there are no transactions involved. Submitting a signature is completely secure and does NOT expose your public key. Your Bitcoin remains in your wallet. Current Participation: As of now, 454.12072327 BTC (approximately $46.5 million USD) has participated in endorsements.
By participating, Bitcoin can evolve from being just an asset into a political power. Also the more Bitcoin held in self-custody, the fewer Bitcoin available for sale on exchanges.
$100,000 might just the beginning.

The goal of bitcoin is to separate money and state and demonetize the state completely. There are no hopes in politics. Read Rothbard and Hoppe

I thought the goal of Bitcoin was to become a peer-to-peer electronic cash system
reply
That's what it is. Bitcoin doesn't have goals. But a lot of bitcoiners have the goal of separating money and state, and we're going to use Bitcoin to do it.

Bitcoin will bring the whole world together and everyone will transact in the same way.

What safeguards are in place so that the CCP does not backtrack Chinese citizens who use this? I am thinking about what we have seen in Hong Kong for example.
stackers have outlawed this. turn on wild west mode in your /settings to see outlawed content.
