We need more of this type of innovation.
I have looked into a wood gasifier to generate electricity but don't have the resources at my disposal to make anything meaningful happen right now. I will look into it more when I am planning my citadel but still great to see this sort of stuff taking place.
reply
Yes wood gasification is good too, but consumes a LOT of material for the power it outputs.
reply
Agreed but when I see a massive pile of trash wood just wasting away, I can't help but wonder how much heat, electricity, and bitcoin it could produce.
Probably much better alternatives but if these guys can turn waste tires into sats, there's a massive opportunity for places like Kuwait and their vast tire graveyards.

Sounds like a fucking cool project!

after getting rid of all the man-made plastic and rubber junk in the world, bitociners shall mine using ancient stone structures that are located along the earth's electromagnetic energy fields. mining practice is in its infancy.
reply
Sounds like a good geo-arb way to get some sats too, plenty of developed nations dump their waste in other countries, so if you are one of those countries, you could accept the payment to dump and then turn around and mine bitcoin, double dip baby

Burning tires is not renewable. This frees physical space by sending some of the material to the atmosphere, making electricity during the process.

Wow man such a great project man

Great innovation

It is an excellent initiative that would bring both economic benefits and environmental sustainability in the world. Bitcoin has not only renewed and innovated the world economy but could also renew the world in the natural sphere. In the environmental sphere, Bitcoiners must be aware that this world must be changed and we must do our bit with projects like these.

This is totally impressive. Obviously, those who solve the problem of how to burn garbage and produce energy to then transform that energy into Bitcoin, those who developed in that area consider that they will be mere winners, garbage is what the population and the system of rapid consumption in which we live generate the most, and that has a terrible management and control of waste.

Fantastic innovation! Forerunner no doubt! Great video also!

I am just imagining a bit axe drawing power from a massive tire fire

Good way to get rid of all that plastic piling up

I remember reading something about a process like this a few years ago. It's interesting to see the mining operation concept!

In Ecuador we’re going through an energetic crisis…
The mines here should definitely adopt this sustainable method!
ATM power is being generated by hydroelectric power plants. But unfortunately we had a long drought and we don’t have enough electricity.
I heard that some miners are trying to power their infrastructure using natural gas… but it’s probably more expensive, and reducing landfill waste would be a huge benefit!
Thanks for sharing !
