This probably really helped Bitcoin. Libra would be pretty big today if the central planners hadn't stepped in. This happening also massively orange pilled a lot of silicon valley bros.

In order to open a channel with them or use their liquidity is all KYC and tracked.
US government desperately clinging to the dollar hegemony is pretty standard action at this point.

I suppose if there was ever a chance to dethrone bitcoin, that may have been it.

Hard to say for sure. That really was a wild time, there was tons of momentum behind the project.
Seems like he doesn't fully get bitcoin yet. But Libra was his baby for a long time.
