I have been using turbo zaps on stacker. I start with a zap of 11 sats for posts that I find mildly interesting. And then 110 for ones I really enjoy. And somewhat rarely, I go for the 100x to 1100. Is this smart? I am not sure the best way to use my sats. Would it be better to zap less often with larger quantities, like to start with 100 sats for every zap? Do the smaller zaps still give something a boost? How do you zap?
I like doing many small zaps, but never below 21 sats, that's my default.

I'm not here often but surely 1 big zap is better if I see the worth.

Whatever works for you.
I do a bit of both. I zap comments usually 40 sats (maybe 20 if it is just to acknowledge I saw it).
Posts I usually zap 100 sats. Posts I really like 210 sats. A couple times a week I will find something to zap 1000 sats on and usually once a month I find something that warrants 10k sats.

10k zaps be like

I like how I am doing it now. I just wasn't sure if it was effective in boosting items to do smaller zaps.

I prefer smaller zaps for the regular “like” or “upvote” sort of validation.
I zap big on particularly good posts but I scale things up more linearly and not log like you do.
I also prefer to receive more smaller zaps from more people cause it shows a healthy ecosystem imho.

Many small zaps for me. My default is 24. I usually zap 1-3 times per comment. I like to spread my love around, mindful of the fact that my zap may be the only zap for particular posts
I think if you wanna spend your sats more meaningfully, focusing on commenting and zapping people’s comments will help you reap more dividends than primarily posting (my favourite way of engagement here) haha

Only you know what is the best way to zap. Zap what you are comfortable with. Zapping isnt an obligation, each zap can be a different value.
reply
Of course. I enjoy zapping. Is there a minimum amount that makes sense to be effective in upvoting?

I dont know what to say. 1 sat placed correctly is enough to move you up on the board. There are people who have done just that.
reply
Cool. I wasn't sure is every sat counted or if it's like certain multiples if that makes sense.
reply
why not both? It depends on a context and value you get, imho.

ZAP! ZAP EVERYTHIN!

I’m not as calculated as @grayruby I just zap randomly. Posts I like a lot I tap zap tap! Stuff I really like I give 1 to 2k on the long press. I zap almost ever comment I get
I just zap it’s a way of life

I think it makes sense to try different approaches and see which one(s) leave you most fulfilled

Depends on the value and impact
reply
There is no rule for this, it all depends on you, it is value for value, what may seem interesting to you may not be so to me. However, you can start with small amounts. It does not matter how many sats it is, it will always be appreciated.

A fool and his Bitcoin are easily parted.
On NOSTR I have 21 sats set, here I have 10.
Once in a while really zap someone something nice but pay attention to the market also. If a lot of people are not so generous maybe it's wise to be more conservative.
I've pissed away a lot of Bitcoin on stupid shit that I thought would make more Bitcoin.
Best to be conservative.

I think it depends. Smaller zaps to show a "like" and bigger zaps to show you found something to be useful/helpful.
