This is a free short intro course for ABSOLUTE beginners wanting to pick up some basic coding / webdev skills.
I built this mostly to serve as a precourse to help beginners that wanna go through the frontend course but might need a bit more exposure and time spent on the foundational topics.
This is the 2nd week since the plebdevs.com launch and it's been exciting to see people starting to use the platform give me feedback and requests for what they want to see. I've got more content and more improvements to the platform coming soon but please give me any feedback you have!
Onwards!
I should probably take the thing.

You probably know most of the info in the course already but hey it's free!

This is great content! Is there any use of watching this for a senior dev?
reply
Probably not unless you need to brush up on basic webdev skills. Honestly our free content is some of the best for intermediate/senior level

Thank you! 🙏🏻

Wow! Thanks!
I might give this a go and see if it's something that I might be able to do. I started niftynei's course but got side tracked with other stuff.
All the jobs I see in the bitcoin space are Dev work.

Awesome! Reach out if I can help at any point

Is this for protocol development?
reply
Nope, just basic web dev mostly, IDE/Git/Github/HTML/CSS/JS
What is it protocol related that you would be interested in?
reply
Still trying to figure that out. Thinking about applying to the boss thing with chain code
reply
Totally, I think that makes a lot of sense. I also think Nifty / Base58's material is amazing when it comes to Bitcoin / Lightning protocol.
I want to cover protocol stuff as much as it makes sense but at the same time I'm really trying to focus on building ON bitcoin/lightning/nostr/etc (app dev) vs protocol dev since it seems that protocol dev is covered a lot more in dev education around bitcoin. ALSO I personally like app dev a bit more and I think it is a great place to start for beginners (even if they are inclined to move onto protocol dev)
I remember in 2021 when I first saw stackernews I was thinking to myself "Where do you go learn how to build something like this at the intersection of Bitcoin/Lightning and apps?" THIS is what I hope to address and lay out a clear journey for with plebdevs!

Ahhh very good insight! Thanks for the input!
