Why do we need digital ID in order to help with public health threats and climate change? It certainly couldn’t be that there are plans for some kind of climate change passport tied to your digital ID, that would just be a crazy conspiracy theory…Right?

Yeah, a digital ID does not make sense to me, sounds too vague. What would it be for? If it is for population control and social scoring system, then no thanks. If it is for an authentication token, I prefer an air gapped device like a yubikey or my ledger. I would not accept a state/UN sponsored public key device as my personal ID.
