Does anyone have experience setting up 2-of-3 multisig here? Keen to find out:
(1) what combo hardware you used?
(2) what private server options are there?

If you haven't already, take a look at this article from Unchained Capital: https://unchained.com/blog/why-2-of-3-multisig/
It is one of the best pieces at explaining multisig that I have found. They also offer their own custody services in a similar fashion than Casa.
Blockstream Green's Multisig Shield is a free service that you may want to check as well: https://help.blockstream.com/hc/en-us/articles/900001388366-What-does-Blockstream-Green-s-multisig-protect-from-

Heard good stuff about Blockstream's shield, but had no idea it was free.

Could it be that Electrum is the most OG wallet software out there?

Yep, I think OG in the sense that a lot of websites and apps depend on electrumrs these days.

Check out https://keys.casa/how-it-works
You don't have to use them but their website can show some options.

Cool, thanks @Wumbo for the link. Yes, I follow Lopp's work.
To confirm, do you mean to sign up and hand over 1 of the 3 keys for a third-party like Casa to manage?
Cheers!

It depends on your situation. I posted the Casa link mainly that their model worked well with several devices.

Nice, I only knew about BitGo.
I think there are other similar services for other currencies, since 2/3 wallets have lots of use-cases.

I’ve done 2/3 with:
- a coldcard, a ledger, and a trezor
- three coldcards
- a coldcard, a tapsigner, and a phone key (in nunchuck)
- a software key in blue wallet, a custom signing server running on AWS I wrote, a software signer in sparrow
- software signer in sparrow, signer in an airgapped computer running core, signer in specter
- many more weird configurations!
What are you looking for with a private server? Are you looking to have some service provider manage a key for you? If you are comfortable managing all the keys, you don’t need a third party server.

Thanks, man. This is very helpful.
Mostly trying to find the right balance between privacy and security for the right denomination.
In your experience, any best practice BTC/sats range per top configurations?
I'm comfortable managing all the keys, but also keen to try out different tools out there and learn from others incl. third-party servers :)
