I know that SN postponed the switch, though I wanted to keep using it under the new circumstances.
After trying different options, and thanks to @supratic and hisguidelines, I chose linking coinos.io as the sending option and WOS as the receiving option.
From the receiving point, I haven't had any issues and everything runs smoothly. I did set up a low amount of sats to remain in the SN account (precisely 10) as I wanted to use them to make some comments and avoid generating an invoice for each of them.
The sending has been working really well too and I can say that it has been working without failing for the last two weeks. I keep a small budget in my coinos wallet(around 500) and, from time to time, I transfer small amounts from other wallets to keep the balance up.
If I need to send a higher payment, for instance buying in the NBA Emirates Cup Survivor pool NBA Emirates Cup Survivor pool, I send the required amount to coinos wallet and then zap the pool.
Since the switch, I have been using the desktop more often than previously, as make payments easier from coinos. When using mobile phone, I keep generating invoices for payments and end up using one of my other wallets for payments.
Then, this morning, when I was trying to make this post and publish it, I kept receiving these messages.
I have read that there was some issues at coinos side over the weekend, and not sure if there is still a problem in their side. I ended up paying with other wallet using the invoice.
Apart from this issue today, I have been using this new set up without problemas and happy with how it works.
Thanks for the mention and for sharing your experience. I was definitely too optimistic when suggesting on the guides to leave zero sats on SN… just because I wish for it to be a non-custodial service. Your strategy of leaving a small amount is probably good for now.
These issues unfortunately are part of the custodial service, we are not in control and we cannot expect it to always work.
I’ll test soon the options to attach multiple wallets and see if SN is able to switch between attached wallets as needed… so if one is down the next one in the queue get triggered. maybe? @ek @k00b

It's funny that it has been working incredibly well until this morning. Just after finishing the post and trying to publish it, I got the problems. Now back to normal again.

that's actually exactly the code I am reviewing right now haha
so it's not possible yet but we will hopefully have release this week with this included

There seems to be a problem with coinos (or our communication with it) where if it can't send the payment, it just doesn't respond. We have plans to work around this, because we shouldn't rely on best-case wallet implementations, but that's the underlying cause.
@adam_coinos_io what's the recommended way for SN to determine if a coinos account can't send a payment? Do you report an error back and we're missing it?

I have tried now and it's working well again.

I've been having issues with minibits. I just shut it down for now. Will try again in a week or so to see how it goes. If not I'll probably just use coinos.
