11.11, also known as "Singles' Day," started in China as a day to celebrate being single. It falls on November 11th because the date consists of four "1"s, symbolizing single individuals. Over time, however, it has transformed into the world's largest online shopping day, surpassing even Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Major online retailers, especially in China, offer massive discounts, and it's now celebrated as a global shopping festival.
Besides shopping, some also use the day to embrace self-love, enjoy time with friends, or pamper themselves.
