Consider the following game: A Runescape-like mmorpg where sats are the in-game currency. When a player makes a lightning deposit, they actually introduce new wealth into the game. The game starts as a barren wasteland, but as sats are introduced, items can be purchased, and the game grows.
When items are sold, the in-game assets are destroyed and the sats are returned to the player. Sats can be withdrawn at any time.
What do y'all think?
Real world economies are typically fun, but I think you'll draw the crypto crowd in and they will ruin the fun of the game.
That aside, it sounds like you're buying in game items that are refundable. Refundable items are not normal in video games. The in game purchases usually pay for server costs, game development, and just in general profit for the company.

I tend to think sats shouldn't be a gameplay part of any game.
Buy the game for sats or buy cosmetics in the game for sats should be as far as it goes IMO.
