Hey Plebs,
I wrote a ballad and entered it in a "Bitcoin Record" contest run by this year's bitcoin2024 conference in Nashville.
My song is an homage to Satoshi Nakamoto, celebrating one of the core technologies that make bitcoin possible.
The audio is rather rough—it was a "last-minute" entry—but the lyrics have a lot to say about bitcoin and the state of the fiat clown-world we're living in these days...
I was surprised and pleased that at one point, "Asymmetric Liberty" reached #7 on the Wavlake top 40 chart! 😳 🤔 😆
Although my composition did not win a track on the contest's vinyl record, it did earn me an Industry Pass to bitcoin2024. I had a blast at the conference, met some very cool folks (including several nostriches), and I learned a lot. And—I could scarcely believe this—while in Nashville, I actually (and quite accidentally) discovered that someone I was talking to was a "fan" who had heard and enjoyed "Asymmetric Liberty." This was more than surprising; I've never been "famous" like that before!
Here's a copy of the lyrics (NOTE: they might vary slightly from the audio version...):
I hope you enjoy "Asymmetric Liberty!" 🙏🏻😆 Won't you let me know what you think in the comments below?
