I see But the real encryption for now is opening a private channel on Nostr for chatting with your contacts.
depends how you chat
default (kind 4) DMs encrypt content, but not metadata
kind 17 is more private but requires a supporting nostr client
simplex is still the best and most private/secure messaging client
