What's your experience solo mining with BitAxe? I am considering buying it for fun

I’ve not got a Bitaxe, but have a Futurebit Apollo 2 - highly rate these small at home miners. What better way to learn about mining and enter into the lottery for a block daily?! Best part about Bitaxe specifically is the negligible power usage.

Thinking about getting an Apollo 2. How much would it make it bitcoin on average per day if you mined with a pool? I’ll solo mine, but wondering about that efficiency .

Not sure on pool numbers. Probably a couple a hundred sats a day I presume. (Whatever a 1th/s bitaxe gets times 6)
I’ve only solo pooled it since owning - you can “mine” more sats on SN - much better being in the lottery

Using solar power set up its fun. Your chance of a profit is low.
Just good fun being part of the Bitcoin security network...and every ten minutes you have a chance to win 3.25BTC!

This is about hobby and everything but then again Bitaxe is somewhat capable of allowing you to mine something significant. You will never really know if Bitcoin will reach 500K. If it does a few SATS from mining will take you to so many places.

I've got a few now!
Some ultras and just added a hex to the bunch.
It has been a great learning experience. I am running my own ckpool with bitcoind and mining away :)
