I jump back and forth from Android to iOS regularly. Both have pluses and minuses. I was wondering where the community leaned with their mobile choice?

Android.
I have an iPhone for dev and have had several others from past jobs, I simply don't understand how anyone uses them regularly, glorified walled-off etch-a-sketches where you need permission just to turn the knobs.
While I appreciate the efforts of Graphene, the juice doesn't seem worth the squeeze with regard to non-factory friction since I still don't trust the underlying hardware. Maybe an OSS phone will someday change the math on that.
Until then everyone should operate on the assumption everything is keylogged and exfiltrated on any mobile device, because it's not only just possible, but because the incentive and resources also exist to do it.

I like iOS and Apple's UI/UX generally but I've stopped trusting them or my trust requirements have increased.

Yeah, I truly like iOS for it's stability and simplicity in some cases. But the way Apple operates turns me away. Every now and then I get on Android and enjoy the wild west, then I miss some polish and go to my iPhone, then I feel like I'm in a cage and go back to Android... it's a constant cycle...lol

Android - LineageOS. I have tried also GrapheneOS and I like it, but what I like about LineageOS is that I'm not limited to Google devices, and also that I can use MicroG instead of the Google Play Services package.

Android generally offers better file management capabilities and more flexibility for transferring files between your phone and other devices, such as computers, without needing specialized software.

I've only ever used Android.
Apple is a cult.
That said, Android freezes and becomes unresponsive for minutes on end. It did that for me just now and when it unfroze, I found myself connected to an emergency SOS service :/

I love Android because it's easy to use and manage.
