In a decisive move that highlights the EU's increasing control over digital platforms, TikTok has been forced to permanently shut down its TikTok Lite Rewards program across the region. This step underscores the EU's broader agenda against free speech and individual economic opportunities, as evident in recent clashes with Elon Musk's X platform.
The European Commission flagged concerns over TikTok Lite's lack of risk assessment and its addictive potential, particularly for minors. However, critics argue that the real issue is the EU's inability to control these decentralized earning opportunities. The program, which allowed users to earn points by watching videos and inviting friends, was flagged under the Digital Services Act.
This crackdown reveals the EU's deeper intent: curbing free speech and restricting economic freedom under the guise of regulation. The Commission will now closely monitor TikTok to ensure compliance and prevent any future programs that might circumvent this withdrawal.

If we look at it from another perspective... the unconsciousness of parents who allow children to spend hours and hours in front of a screen and even more so on social networks is really worrying... which are actually very addictive and believe in children. very high levels of anxiety... I live in Lima, Peru and here the pace of life is super fast like in almost all the capitals of South America... because of that, people work long hours and do not have the opportunity to pay to take care of their children. children and they simply take them to work and to keep them quiet they give them a cell phone and the child spends the day hypnotized or idiotized I would say... and it damages their minds... on the other hand to say that regulating this affects freedom of expression or something like that... it seems a bit exaggerated to me!!

Hypnosis is the right word for it. It's shocking just how effective a tablet or smartphone is at “quieting” a kid… and not at all in a good way. Do parents have any idea what's being done to their minds?

I can well understand that. it's not for me either. but the principle must apply: free information, free opinion-forming and free expression of opinion.

FDP is the only real capitalist party. AfD are a bunch of communists that want to increase government overreach
reply
AfD is anti immigration from 3rd world hell holes
Government overreach? AfD members are being arrested for 'impolite' speech or 'hate' speech.
They are so mean to immigrants. They need to be arrested. Germany has turned into kindergarten where only whites are punished and non-whites get away with rape and murder.

the problem in Germany is that 85% don't understand the background of the targeted invasion. this account is probably one of the 85%, and that's okay. it's over anyway!

FDP and capitalist? Lol! I was working for them 25 years ago. In this epoch, it's true. Times have changed a bit, my friend. They're promoting the same green infantile bullshit for the retards like the others.
