The Lord is not slow about his promise, as some count slowness, but is patient with us-ward, not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance.
2 Peter 3:9
PRAYER FOR THE DAY - 2 Peter 3:9
O God, Creator of the universe and source of unconditional love, today we come to You with gratitude and humility. We ask that You grant us the grace to begin this day with open hearts and minds receptive to Your will.
As 2 Peter 3:9 teaches us, we acknowledge Your infinite patience and love for all human beings. You desire all to repent and find salvation in You. May we reflect that love and patience in our own lives, reaching out with compassion to those around us.
Help us, O God, to see each person as Your precious creation, worthy of love and respect. Enable us to be instruments of Your peace and reconciliation in a world marked by division and conflict.
As we prepare to face the challenges of this day, guide us in the path of justice and kindness. May our words and actions reflect Your truth and love, so that we may be lights that shine in the midst of darkness.
Lord, may we trust in Your promise that You do not desire that any of Your children be lost, but that all find their way back to You. May we live each moment of this day in communion with You, knowing Your peace that surpasses all understanding. On behalf of all faith traditions, we pray, acknowledging that You are the God of all peoples and nations.
Amen.
