My guess is that this has little to do with bitcoin and more to do with a conservative looking to build an anti-crime platform to run on.
The US is not El Salvador. Not even close on the crime scale. But, the US has a role in why El Salvador become so controlled by the drug cartel. I hope that isn't lost. The so called war on drugs has destroyed so many lives and we have a greater drug problem than when it started. End the drug war.
