Note that Ray goes from "sensible" to "terrible" pretty much right away (on purpose), but honestly, I'd still be okay with things like, "Name nine A's to the American League team so they can prove to their families and friends that they do so play in the major leagues."

Yeah, that would be interesting, and the whole "NL vs AL" thing means less in a world where interleague play has been the norm for an entire generation.

I think realignment is coming along with expansion in the next few years and the leagues will become conferences anyways,

I believe it is important to support athletes and players in ways that help them prove their abilities and achieve their goals on the big stage and in front of their family and friends.
