Howdy there, partner! Welcome on into the Stacker Saloon.
Saddle on up to a stool and spill the beans about your day, fire away with them questions, or let loose and give us the lowdown on your wild and woolly life. We're all ears, so don't hold back!
We're open round the clock, so mosey on in whenever you please!
I get a large amount of enjoyment out of setting my default zap at some uncommon amount, kinda like a calling card.
reply
I love it.
I've been making heavy use of the custom zaps lately. I had forgotten that it stores a few of your recent zap values. My numbers aren't that distinctive, though.
Default: 21 Double-click: 42 Stored value 1: 69 Stored value 2: 420
It would be nice to have some classier numbers, but these are what the culture has settled on.
reply
I mostly just complete the zaps of other people to a number I like. It’s also an exercise in mental arithmetic.

Hows it going freaks,
TheWildHustle should seriously look into juicing up his S9 with one of those loki boards.
The perfect pleb mining setup would be an S9 running 3 s19 boards from 3 120 volt outlets and a couple of bitaxe lotto miners. A rough estimate puts Hustle at making around 150 a month with a small lotto chance.
Thanks, Hustle
reply
What’s the cost on that set-up, Hustle?
reply
Looks like its 500 for the S19J Pro on Kaboomracks 100 for the S9 (if you don't have one already) Loki Kit for 35 bucks https://d-central.tech/product/loki-diy-kit/ Bit Axe will run you 200-250
Hustle doesn't have energy cost (pays a condo association fee instead of gas and electric). And will probably end up spending 1k on a setup that will pay him back in 10-12 months (excluding a bull market rip that takes us to 200k or above).
reply
How will the condo like the noise?
reply
Running the miner at half wattage works for us. Could upgrade the fans and throw on an enclosure but the it hasn't been a problem so far.
reply
Recency bias rules simple minds. It’s hard to deal with a lot of fans these days due to it. Whether we talk about sports, politics, or Bitcoin.
It’s better to take a moment and think about the full picture. Lately I have seen more and more of the black/white view on the world and the grey seems to be forgotten.

I've been trying dead hang recently. Saw a YouTube video talking about its benefits, so I decided to give it a try. I've been doing it for 1 week now. Tried aiming to hang for 2 minutes but could only get to max 1m42s for now. Will report back maybe a month later in terms of strength or health improvements etc.
reply
I'm curious to hear that follow up.
reply
I'll try my best to remember to report back in a month. Maybe remind me if I forget and if you still remember.

It feels great but I can't do it for too long, it is one of the few things besides actual pitching that irritates an old rotator cuff injury I had.

I have lower back pain issues, so I'm hoping this will help with the back pain.
reply
Muscular or disc issues? I had a pretty bad herniated disc almost two years ago. Had to walk with a cane for a couple weeks and didn't totally heal for a few months. I am very cautious now when I start to feel any pressing of the disc on my sciatic nerve. I will rest it, ice it, then heat it up and use the stretching pillow and do other stretches to try and nip it in the bud right away.
reply
I don't know, I never got to the bottom of it. I'm guessing it's muscular but don't know for sure. It goes away when I do stretches regularly, but I've just been a lazy ass lately and haven't been doing enough stretches. It's playoff time with too many games to watch and follow, plus work had been pretty busy, you know the usual excuses for not taking care of the body.

Awesome. I had a 10k a day steps streak of over a year but lost it about 2 months ago. Still usually get 10k or close to a day but I haven't started up the streak again.
reply
Congrats! I hope to get there and keep going. It’s difficult to find everyday a bit of time. That’s why I started the challenge so that I can find motivation to keep going.

Culture / the way of being is like a force - you tend to be XYZ because you are born in certain places, and there are certain truths in those stereotypes.
However, visitors or travelers love to see exotic culture because it's different, and they are outside and most likely unaffected, but it could be an invisible cage for the locals - some might question it, and only a few manage to break free and be who they really are.

I had a fantastic time at my first bitcoin meetup aside from PubKey events last night. I think I'll do a write up about it in a few days, but I must mention this. I'm a little hard of hearing, so after one guy introduced himself to the group I wasn't sure if I missed his name. I asked him what his name was again, and, without skipping a beat, he smirked and said "nice try, fed." I knew I would feel at home.

You know, I have a heck of a time avoiding saying my real name to people in person. I slipped up at the beginning. I once went to PubKey and was sitting next to Peter MacCormack at the bar. We introduced ourselves and I screwed up, then said Siggy. He said "hah! You doxxed yourself!"

Re-present

In administrative and judicial court you will be required to have someone, usually a lawyer or solicitor, to represent you, or for you to “represent” yourself.
However if you accept this, you now have a lower status than the lawyer or solicitor, who has a lower status than the judge. It is also impossible to “Re-present” yourself, as you can only present yourself.
What this tactic is trying to do, if you accept this offer, is to get you to represent your legal fiction, and in some courts you will be representing a trust that was made in your name without your knowledge or consent.
