I have tried it, and it isnt significantly better at finding things.
I thought it would help me discover shit that might be on russian servers, but it didnt.
I could have found 99% of the results on a google search or wikipedia lol

Funny how the writer still thinks google is reliable.. They literally choose what you see + hundreds of cookies to track you.
AI search is useful for things that doesnt really matter -> ex: you looking for an easy cooking recipe or rules of a game etc. ArcSearch is a interesting one for this

Def better than google or bing. Apparently you can ask for more: “Browse for Me uses OpenAI’s API Platform for commercial applications and all data sent to OpenAI via Browse for Me is eligible for zero data retention (ZDR). This feature is only available in the Arc Search app.“

Yeah true but I was referring to the first part: “ Google is no longer a convenient or reliable way to retrieve information”.
For me, we can’t talk of the past because it has never been that way.
