One of those great albums that I don't think many of us realized would be as influential as it was. At the time, it was just a blast to listen to.

Solid album. I prefer Rancid's "And out come the wolves".
Green Day did bring punk into the mainstream though and paved the way for a lot of the pop punk acts (not sure if that's a good thing).

Yeah, that Rancid album's amazing.
As with any genre or subgenre blowing up, I think it's a double-edged sword (see "Nevermind" just a few years earlier), but there's always enough new stuff bubbling up that I can ignore the copies-of-copies.
