Randomly remembered The KLF yesterday.

The who??? These guys are new for me. But this is a really cool track. It's got that 80s pop vibe but with the rap sounds really cool.
reply
Nah, The Who were a totally different band. . .
Seriously, KLF was a big flash in the pan in the early '90s, and then they kind of faded. Their schtick was some sort of secret cult with The Illuminatus! Trilogy references, combined with some damned fun songs.
Under the name The Timelords, they were also responsible for "Doctorin' the Tardis," the Gary Glitter/Doctor Who mashup.

I was just watching some Doctor Who this evening! That song is always funny. The Daleks look too high budget though! πŸ˜‰

I've actually heard this! I never realised it was them, I guessed it was a gimmick song but actually it's not bad.

What language is that? Turkish? I can't tell. He's a great vocalist, I love hearing the pentatonic minors used, they're really common in eastern/Arabic influenced tracks.

New one for me. She's got a really nice voice. I don't know much about hip-hop so it's always good to hear some.

Beat me to the punch this morning πŸ˜‚
Blue man group are great, they're weird yes but they're fantastic. Playing this track on those pipes, and by whacking the innards of a piano. Just awesome.

My favorite part is the violin finale. It's so emotional.
reply
A good violin part can almost sound like crying. Such a beautiful and emotive instrument.
