Zombie - Cranberries
Both are very good, but I miss Dolores O'Riordan. Her voice was so strong!
reply
No one had a voice like hers.
reply
Right on dude
reply
RIP Dolores 🫡 thank you for your music.
I've got to tip the hat to bad wolves on this one. They just bring an element of as if they're crying out to society to actually listen for a change. They're very good.
reply
I'll say Bad Wolves here because I saw it live and weren't they donating the money from that track to her kids?
reply
Yeah, l think that is what they did. It was supposed to be a collaboration.
reply
I think they did yeah. I remember hearing about that at the time. True class shown by those guys.
reply
Who did it better?
Original (Bob Dylan)
Cover (Ministry)
reply
Ministry!! Man I love ministry! I'm gunna go with ministry here, but Dylan is iconic.
reply
Ministry \m/
reply
I don't remember if I did this before. But here we go. The offspring Vs five finger death punch.
The original
The cover
I love the raw feeling and emotion portrayed in the FFDP version but the offspring will always have a nostalgic place in my heart.
reply
I've got to go with FFDP! I like the group in general, and I really like their version of this song. It can be a tough listen some days though.
reply
It can be really difficult to hear some times. It's very emotive.

Offspring

I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry
Hank Williams
Volbeat
I would have a hard time choosing between these two, I really like them both! Country metal could be an interesting genre.
reply
I'm not sure what I think about that, do I love it?, do I hate it? I have no idea
reply
😂😂😂😂 I'll admit I sometimes have strange musical tastes! Although, I can never decide what I think about that jazz cover of Enter Sandman.
reply
That combat cover was really really good. I might have to give the nod to them, I wasn't expecting it.
reply
No one's better than TMBG, of course:
But I do appreciate a good twist on a classic, like the one the Star Fucking Hipsters offer:
reply
This was super cool and ana Ng bought a really different feeling to it.
reply
Yeah, I think having two different singers on it makes for a nice change of pace.
reply
It does but I gotta nod to ana Ng I think.
reply
Really tough call
reply
The cover is pretty catchy, but I am partial to the original. I remember getting the CD as a gift for my birthday!
reply
I just can't get behind it. It doesn't feel like a cover, or a tribute, it feels like they've just ripped off the music and added their lyrics and rebranded it.
I'm sure everything is above board but it just feels off to me.
reply
I feel like any of that dance, electro, techno, etc are never really covers. 1 artist always attaches their thing and then so does the next guy and so on and so forth. It's why all those type of tracks have like 52 people listed as "featuring" 😆
reply
Its hard because its pretry catchy. They took the tune and couple words and made it their own.

Duran Duran
My Darkest Days (A very random spotify recommendation this week)
reply
My darkest days are great but for me it's Duran Duran.
reply
Agreed
