They are preparing us gradually for the coming deluge, so that they can calmly say they saw it coming and have it under control.
You can feel the rumblings. My spidey senses were tingling last week, that's why I wrote the gradually then suddenly post.

I think you're spot on. If Powell holds rates steady, I think US markets might pull a version of the old taper tantrum in order to scare Powell into cutting between meetings. Then it's off to the races, and the poor will just have to learn to live with some more inflation.

Initially, the Fed was created to prevent these bank failures. From now on, it is the Fed which leads to its bank failures with its monetary policy. Rather than avoiding them, the Fed simply announces that more bank failures will occur. Is there anyone to run this flawed system?

This smart scumbags always play both sides. Talk out of both sides of their mouths. Their plan is to gas light everyone later. Happens over and over. Most people seem to never learn. Thinking is hard though. That's why so few do it.
reply
Yes, they always play both sides, the only thing they seek is to misinform and make you dizzy, you have to be alert to the real data, and not to what these manipulators say.

Who do you think will be the biggest bank that will need bailing out?
reply
Hard to say. If contagion picks up, only the biggest four or five could be safe. Sounds crazy, but it seems like the goal is consolidation

We had one late last week but not a lot was made out of it... I don't think anyone is going to bat an eye unless we have a string of larger-midsized ones in a row like earlier on
