Software support is the obvious one. If I could add an array of proprietary applications like the Microsoft and Adobe suite I think people would leave in droves.
Having a universal “ActiveDirectoy” style system that was truly powerful I think would help too.
Coreboot or something like it by default for Bios.

I've been enjoying some new Linux laptop makers using Coreboot like StarLabs https://us.starlabs.systems/

It's a great idea, but I'd rather not have to purchase a new system to have a bios that isn't full of treachery. Installing coreboot post market involves jumpers and flashing bios and all manner of pain points that could go wrong. None of this should be so.

I’m not quite sure how you would make an easier method of changing the bios that didn’t open up the gateway to some very nasty malware.
reply
Just install it on there to start with as an option.

That's what companies like StarLabs and System76 allow you to do though. I'd prefer if AMD natively shipped with Coreboot but that seems unlikely to happen unless we keep supporting those companies.

A radical one would be making Linux phones truly viable.

We use andriod because of the network effect. Apps all use the same runtime and APIs. It would take something truely groundbreaking to take any meaningful share of that market.
