Paper books are great, true.
In addition, you get get a ton of old classic books in digital format on resources such as https://annas-archive.org/. Nobody can "update" what you download, it's not in the cloud anymore.

I find ebooks good for technical stuff. But there is absolutely nothing as good as sitting down and opening a good book. If it’s older than you and bought at used book store, even better.
