Soul Asylum - Runaway TrainSoul Asylum - Runaway Train

This was playing in the petrol station last night and now it's in my head 😄

This is oddly exactly the same reason I chose walking in Memphis this morning. Petrol stations radios 🤣. Great track aswell. I need to do more digging on soul asylum, I'm enjoying their sound.

Was discussing spy series and movies with friends yesterday, so a lovely song from Metal Gear Solid returned to my playlist.

That's really nice. I've heard of metal gear solid but never knew anything about it.

Today I'm going to share something more recent that I also really like and had the opportunity to see live.

Arctic Monkeys - Do I Wanna Know?

Great track. I never really got into the arctic monkeys. But then I watched the masked singer and their lead singer won it. And his voice was incredible. Wasn't what I thought of when I thought of the arctic monkeys. Went back to them and really appreciated their music a lot more than I did in the mid 2ks.

Ottmar Liebert - Barcelona Nights

Spanish guitar. There are so many great guitarists out there it's ridiculous. A LOT of them do not include lyrics and do not aim for 'hits.' I gather this is a subculture of humble stackers over there.

reply

Sorry I didn't get to this yesterday DotNet, just great track. Amazing guitar, I have so much appreciation for Spanish guitarists their style is so beautiful.

Rod Stewart (born January 10, 1945, London, England) British singer and songwriter whose soulful, raspy voice graced rock and pop hits beginning in the late 1960s. Stewart became an international star following the extraordinary commercial success of his landmark album Every Picture Tells a Story (1971).

reply

Sorry I didn't get to this yesterday. Wicked track, great submission. Really like Rod Stewart as a vocalist. One of my favourites of his is "stay with me". Which was with the faces.
