The Band was a Canadian/US rock band formed in Toronto in 1967. The members originally backed Ronnie Hawkins and Bob Dylan before staking their own ground.
Their body of work is incredible, but this is one of my favorites. Here's Up On Cripple Creek:

Ok. Yeah. I can get behind this. It's giving me similar sounds to the Steve Miller Band, I don't have to try too hard to hear The Joker in here.
