Telling the DOE to fuck off probably wouldn't be the brightest business decision versus demonstrating how they help stabilize the grids in some areas.

Fighting in court might be the best response. I agree with Marty. Its naive to think they want to be educated on how grids are improved by PoW mining. This data has been public and publicized for years. This is a fishing attempt with an eye towards targeted attacks on U.S. miners.
