I also discover events in local telegram groups. I'm in a Boston Bitcoin Telegram group, for example. And I use the Meetup app to find and post events as well. Eventbrite too, although I don't often see Bitcoin events on Eventbrite
I used the Orange Pill App and I couldn't help but to feel uncomfortable. I met one dude locally and another guy in my state. Great conversations but I deleted the app. I didn't like being specifically oriented toward Bitcoin. My inner paranoia felt high caution.
Also, I'm not very good at being nice to people I don't know. I'm not really that nice to the people I do know. I like to help people but I don't do it for praise. I just do it because it makes me feel good. I like people not knowing me.
I've used OPA to post my local meetup events. And I've met a few locals because of the location enabled feature of OPA and they've come to my meetups as a result. It's useful and a valuable app IMO.
I was hoping to list some meetups on here @itsTomekK do you need some help with the topic fee? Currently in the UK meetup.com has the most listings, I have tried on facebook but the events seem shadow banned. Would love it if Flockstr worked, can post events but not search them
